Garud Puran describes the path of a soul after death and provides Mukti to the departed soul. Garud Puran focuses on eliminating curiosities of the after death, and what lies on the other end. listening to Garud Path, a person comes to know about which things leads a person to salvation and which lead to misfortune on one life and accordingly we change our thinking and walk in the right path.

Garud Puran is usually organised at home when some near or dear ones passes away. Usually performed in the evening hours , where a Brahmin comes to our house and does Vishnu smaran and recites the Garud Puran.

How Many days Garud Puran is to be Performed?

Garud Puran should be started from 4th day after death and to be continued till 13th day. If it is missed then it can be started from 7th or 9th day and continued till 13th day. It is performed in the evening hours.
