Description
Anantha Padmanabha Vratha Pooja is dedicated to Sri Maha Vishnu Devaru lying on the couch of Ananthsesha – the thousand hooded snake. Ananth means infinite or endless. The person who does this vratha pooja obtains long and healthy life and gets Gnyana or Enlightenment. All the sorrows are removed and generally observed on Ananth Chaturdashi day.
Ananta Padmanabha Vratha Pooja is performed by invoking Lord Maha Vishnu in Ananth Padmanabha form, the mantras are chanted, and then the pooja is carried out with 14 varieties of flowers and leaves as per Shastras and Vidhana.
