Description

Udaka Shanti is performed for peace and harmony in the house. Generally, this Shanti is conducted before any function or ceremonies like Upanayan, Gruha Pravesh puja, Marriages, Wellbeing of the baby in the womb. It can also be performed after childbirth and for Shanti in the home. Udaka Shanti mantras have the essence of Vedas.

This Shanti is performed by Pandits, beginning with Ganesh puja and Lord Varun, and invoking the other Gods in the Kalash filled with water. The Udakashanti mantras from Yajurveda are chanted that consist of 1441 lines.

When to Perform Udaka Shanti Puja?
